Get FTP
There are numerous standalone programs that let you access FTP sites and do file transfers. You can find links to many such utilities for Windows and Macintosh at http://compnetworking.about.com/cs/novellgroupwise/.
"I have a question," Stef said. "How do I publish my blog to my own Web site?"
"You're using Blogger, right?" I asked her. Blogger is Google's free blogging service. She nodded. "Then it's pretty easy. Here, take the keyboard and log into your Blogger account."
Stef went to www.blogger.com and logged in to her account (Figure 6.27).

"Change to your blog settings," I said, "and move to the Publishing section." (See Figure 6.28).

"I click the FTP link, then?" she asked. I nodded, and new settings were displayed (Figure 6.29).

"I see, I enter the FTP information here," she said. "So when I add an entry to my blog, it'll get copied over to my site?"
"Yep. That's it, you're done. And now," I said, checking my watch, "we're done, too."
